Friday’s Events (XII)

This week’s question is:

What keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book, and what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?

What keeps me reading a book is when it has good dialogue. It’s one of the things that makes me interested and curious about what’ll happen next! Now to stop reading a book, a lot of things have to be wring that I loose interest. I don’t stop reading and then continue someday, I either read it all or it’s a DNF. I don’t pick it again.

Q. ACK! Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction? You get extra points if you include visual stimulation.

Oh, that’s such a MEAN question!! I don’t know, probably Johnny Depp, and I would be so impressed I wouldn’t be able to talk, LOL! Especially if he’s dressed as Jack Sparrow! Wouldn’t that be awesome?

  1. These book blogger hop questions just get better and better. This one looks easy but I think it’s a trick question. We all know it’s the same answer – the writing – but we all have different perspectives of what good writing is.

Hop on over to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and read my three-prong answer as I explain why I’ll decide to pick up a book or put it down in under sixty seconds.

    Happy July 4th Weekend!

  2. Hi there. Found you through Crazy for Books’s blog hop. With so many bloggers posted there its a bit hard finding other romance lovers amongst the “eclectic” and “ya” blogs. I read some ya too but my main love is romance. Since I couldn’t really figure out how to follow you (me having blogger and you having wordpress) I opted to snag your badge and put it first under the title on my blog I Obsessively Follow These People Too! section… if you get a chance check it out.
